What it is
Introductory to Cabochon Making is a multi-session beginner lapidary class run by the Roseville Rock Rollers Gem & Mineral Society in Roseville, California. The class page says it “provides a complete introduction to the lapidary arts — no experience required!” and that students learn “how to select suitable rough stones, cut and shape different type of stones using specialized machines, and polish them to a high gloss,” along with basic shop maintenance and safe use of saws, grinders, sanding wheels and polishers.
Who it’s for
Beginners in the Sacramento and Placer County area who want to learn to cut and polish cabochons. No experience is needed and you don’t have to be a member.
Why it’s listed
It’s a first-party class with a published fee, a set number of sessions, a stated class size, named instructors and a street address, held in the society’s own equipped lapidary shop. It’s a recurring class with standing weekly time slots, not a one-day event. This listing covers the class, not the whole club.
